“Authenticity is everything! You have to wake up every day and look in the mirror, and you want to be proud of the person who’s looking back at you. And you can only do that if you’re being honest with yourself and being a person of high character. You have an opportunity every single day to write that story of your life”Aaron Rodgers

Over the past week i’ve had a number of scenarios where my past experiences have helped others progress on their journey. From my business experiences, to sporting history to personal challenges… they have all been valuable lessons both for myself and for others. What made my experiences have an impact… they highlighted how being Authentic and Self Aware of who I am and why that matters can get you through even the most challenging of situations.

Getting comfortable being the best version of me, without putting huge expectations on myself to be 100% perfect 100% of the time, took a huge weight off my shoulders. Accepting me for who I was, recognising my strengths and using them to my advantage, recognising areas of improvement and working on them…. this allowed me to set realistic expectations and remove the constant frustration of not measuring up.

I realised through telling of my experiences, I wasn’t the only one who has felt frustrated by this… and that my experiences were helping others see the same. By being me, by showing the true me, I was helping others see it was ok to do the same… which allowed them to focus on what it was that they really wanted to achieve.

This week, check in on who you are being and whether this is you being the real you. The way you act, the way you treat others… are you being the person you want to be or are you just measuring up to others expectations. Be you, be real and be honest… you’ll find that you will build trust easier and attract others who have the same values as you.

Feel empowered and forward this on to those in your networks who will get value from our regular tips. If you need help being the real and best version of you, send us a note at and we’d love to chat about how we can help.

Have an awesome week!
