As I reached over to turn off my alarm getting me up for Monday morning PT, I realised I had a number of options I had to make on the spot:
1. Turn the alarm off and go back to sleep
2. Hit snooze a couple of times, then get up make a cup of coffee and call in sick for the session
3. Hit snooze a couple of times, then get up and risk being late and having the session start again; or
4. Turn my alarm off, get up and get to the session to start the week off with a bang.

The one thing that didn’t register above is the one thing I do every morning before I get out of bed… my 3 things I am grateful for. This is such a powerful habit to get in to. It keeps me grounded when I am successful, it pumps my tyres up when i’m a little flat… and it reminds me that regardless of where you are there are always reasons to be grateful.
So if you don’t make it to the gym or chose to sleep in then either way give yourself 3 bits of gratitude to get your week/day off to a running start.
