Through providing business coaching in the Brisbane area, it’s becoming more obvious that business owners and leaders must be the ones to set the standard. “If it’s meant to be it’s up to me” is a phrase I use often to help drive growth in business leaders. Being the one to show the passion, motivation and inspiration helps those around you see what’s possible.
Today we have 3 tips that have helped business owners and leaders drive their success:
Be Consistent – when those around you get to know what you are like, they get to know what to expect from you. When your behaviour patterns are random, like being on a rollercoaster, they become more unpredictable and challenging to predict. A consistent message builds certainty and allows others to adapt to your ways
Build trust through interaction – being able to influence those around you and get things achieved becomes far easier when you make time to get to know these people. Find out what drives them, what they want to achieve and how they approach things… face to face chats can be so much more effective than email or messaging.
Be the example – being the leader others can model is a powerful productivity tool. Be the person you want them to be and let them see what’s possible. Seeing the results that come from behaving in a successful way will show what’s possible for them.
So this week, when you find yourself getting back in to the swing of work for 2019, be conscious of whether you are using these three tips. If not, look for opportunities to implement and see how your results change.
