With the pace of change in today’s society, it’s easy to get distracted from what you are ultimately wanting to achieve. The constant placement of bright shiny things in our view can bring a feeling of disillusionment, causing us to take our eye off the ball. This is where the art of the re-focus comes in to play and is a very valuable tool.
 
3 Tips to help you Refocus
 
So how do we best get out eye back on the ball if we are feeling a little overwhelmed? Here are 3 simple tips you can implement today…

  1. Take time out to review what outcomes you truly want – by being clear with what successes we ultimately want in our businesses, we can get specific on the plans needed to make this happen

  2. Focus on what matters – removing the urge to follow the bright shiny things allows us room to follow the activities required to get what we truly want. Clarity in this allows us to get specific on targets and actions

  3. Align your activity to your strengths – matching your actions to your strengths gives even more scope to chase what truly matters and what will drive your ultimate happiness.

This week take time out to reflect on your levels of distraction and how many bright shiny things are currently getting in your way. Reset, restart and refocus on what really matters and use all your energy to make this happen… it’s this that will make you ultimately happy and successful.
